What is Sleep Apnea?

Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder that causes your breathing to stop and start repeatedly while you sleep. These interruptions can prevent your body from getting the deep, restorative rest it needs.

As your dental provider, we are often the first to notice signs of sleep apnea. During routine exams, we can evaluate your airway, jaw, and oral anatomy—areas that play a critical role in proper breathing during sleep.

By identifying potential problems early, we can help you get tested and treated sooner, preventing long-term health issues and improving your quality of life. At Palmer Dental Center, your airway health is just as important to us as your smile. We help identify and treat sleep apnea with comfortable, custom oral appliances that keep your airway open so you can breathe better and sleep more soundly.
